Genie
Outlook Backup 6.0 enables its users to “test”
their backup files anytime they want to make sure their data
is safe and sound.
To open the Test Backup window:
- Press the "Test"
button in the main menu
- From the menu bar choose "Tool"
then "Test Backup..."
The “Test Backup”
dialog contains the following options:
A- Created Backup Archives: This contains
details about the backup jobs found on your computer. This
listbox is divided into three parts:
1) Backup Job Name: This is a list of the backup jobs on
your computer.
2) Availability: This shows the status of the backup job
whether its still accessible or not (for instance whether
the CD containing the backup file is inserted in the tray
or not).
3) Backup File name: This shows the full path of the actual
backup file.
B- Refresh List: You can refresh the list
of the backup archives to view any changes or modifications
done outside Genie Outlook Backup, or when the CD or any other
medium is changed.
C- Browse: You can also locate any backup
job manually.
D- Test Now: To start the test process of
the selected backup job.
E- View Test Log: The result of the test
process can be viewed in the form of an HTML file that shows
a listing of the items stored inside the backup file and the
status of the archive itself. And if more details are required,
you can click the “More
Details” button within the log file to see a
more comprehensive text report. |
